On 16th April Strategy and Operations Managing Director Mike Cline-Hughes attended the glittering "Bravo" awards for business and culture. Mike was presented with a runners up certificate in the prestigious 'Eversheds Award for the Business in the Arts Board Bank Member of the Year 2006' for his work on the board of Quarantine (www.qtine.com).
Quarantine's nomination described Mike as "an invaluable 'critical friend', asking intelligent questions which both challenge and develop"

Northern Strategy and Operations have recently become involved with the Bluecoat Display Centre in Liverpool.
Based in the very heart of the city, BDC has an international reputation for contemporary craft and design. BDC's role is to give artists a forum to sell their work and gain exposure to a wider public. They have facilitated exhibitions in europe and the USA and many artists have benefited from their help.
NS&O are helping to develop a long-term vision and strategy, and to facilitate the writing of an updated business plan.

Northern Strategy and Operations Ltd has links with a number of charities. We are particularly keen that the Christopher Clarke Cancer Research Fund is supported and funds are raised for this charity that ains to fund research into brain tumours in young people.

January 2008
December saw Northern Strategy and Operations begin work on a project that requires an understanding of: historic boats; iconic Lake District locations; tourism trends; and balancing the pressures of conservation and income generation.
Steam Yacht Gondola sails on Coniston Water for scheduled and chartered trips, taking in the history of Ruskin, Ransomne and Campbell.
NS & O have been commissioned to develop the strategic options for the future operation of the historic, steam powered craft.
